Our Ministries

Worship

Holy Eucharist, a term derived from the Greek eucharistia, meaning thanksgiving, is the center of our worship life. A service of praise, prayer, confession, invitations to ministry, Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper), and blessing, we celebrate Holy Eucharist together at 10 am every Sunday, and at 12 noon the third Wednesday of every month.

Pastoral Care

We do our best to provide comfort and neighborly care to one another
through prayer, home visits, and telephone check-ins. Our clergy [is clergy also visits sick and shut-in parishioners and friends as able.

Music

St. Andrew’s loves music! We have a growing choir that practices at 4 pm
every Wednesday and leads Sunday worship with congregational singing, anthems, Psalms, and the occasional “Happy Birthday.” We support and encourage music in the wider Lakeside community, hosting
special musical events and providing rehearsal space to the Los Voces del Lago community choir.

Religious Education

As Jesus followers, our lives become fuller and richer as we learn more about the Bible, theology, and the history of our faith. We engage in regular Bible studies, and periodic workshops on topics from Church History to Liturgy (worship), and Faith Development.

Community Education

St. Andrew’s hosts practical educational events for the entire community, including End-of-Life Preparation Workshops, Cruz Roja Health and Safety Workshops, and other Health and Wellness Workshops. If there’s a topic
that interests you whether as instructor or student, please let us know.

Leadership Development

The Anglican church practices “the ministry of the baptized” – while bishops, priests, and deacons have specific and important roles, the church is YOU – all the people of God. We learn and grow together as ministers of worship and disciples of Jesus Christ, engaging in regular study and fellowship informally within the parish.

St. Andrew’s is honored to develop and lead a new 13-month training program for English-speaking people who feel called to be ordained to servant ministry as Vocational Deacons.
